as it was dubbed by a friend of mine. bh cosmetics 88 color matte palette has an awesome red in it, and this was the first time i used it. the red was a major selling point for me, but i couldn't figure out where to start. so, here's what i finally came up with!

white, pink, purple

day 5 of Mario's Make up Madness is here!

Mario had originally chosen browns for today, which would have been a walk in the park and, for me, an great and easy way to end the week.

yesterday, upon seeing the penguin look, Mario decided that he wanted to change to something blended, preferably with pinks and purples, so, this is what i came up with.

white, pink, and purple from the bh cosmetics palette, black liner and mascara, tinted moisturizer and powder.

day 4 of Mario's Make up Madness!

for today, Mario originally requested orange, so i showed him a picture of make up that i'd done for mine and my bf's one year anniversary. the colors were supposed to look like that of an emperor penguin (if you know us, it makes sense). Mario decided that he like that one better, so he wanted to see the penguin look, so, here it is! 4 colors (white, yellow, orange, dk brown) out of the bh cosmetics 88 color matte palette, black liner and mascara, tinted moisturizer and powder.

this look might be a little more wearable as is, even more so if the yellow is left out.

blue!

so, guy i work with picked my make up for the week, making this day 3 of Mario's Make Up Madness! yes, he is reading these haha.

anyway, for today, he picked dark blue and, according to him, this wasn't dark enough. so we're gonna try this one again some time next week. but, for now...2 blue's from one of sephora's color play palettes, black liner, black mascara, mac tinted moisturizer, MUFE foundation powder, no blush.

still a much brighter look than most people would wear day to day.

purple!

so, decided yesterday that the guy at work that picked out greens for monday got to pick colors for the entire week, so...today's color scheme is purple! simple look, 2 purples from bh cosmetics 88 color matte palette (i love that thing, probably gonna be using it as much as i can this week haha). then my usual, black liner and mascara finish the look...no blush.

as yesterday, this look may not work as an every day look for everyone.

greens

so, i managed to wear make up twice last week at work (i'm not a morning person, so i normally don't have time), and a guy at work specifically requested thursday that i wear greens on monday. this happened to work out well because my boyfriend's cousin is having a scheduled c-section today, and i'm thinking there's gonna be a lot of pictures taken.

this is an exceedingly simple look, being that it was 6.20 when i did my make up and i had to leave the house at 6.30. i used 3 colors from the bh cosmetics 88 color matte palette, 2 greens and a highlight. black liner and mascara finish the eyes, and of course, tinted moisturizer and MUFE foundation powder. no blush today, don't think i needed it, plus i forgot to grab it...oh well, i think it looks fine without it :-).

this look is a bit brighter. i'm ok wearing this to work, or on a day-to-day basis. some people may not be.

simple brown smokey

and when i say simple, there's only 2 colors in this look, both from one of sephora's color play palettes.

tip for those of us who don't like wearing a lot of make up in the summer:
tinted moisturizer + foundation powder = medium coverage! see, there is a way to create a more flawless look in the summer, without wearing a lot of heavy make up! mac's tinted moisturizers don't have quite as much coverage, but stila's seem to work fairly well when coupled with a good foundation powder.

black liner and mascara, and a nude blush finish the look.
